How We Rank Clinics

InkRemoval.ca is an independent Canadian directory of tattoo removal clinics. This page explains where our listings come from, how rankings are decided, and what clinics can and cannot influence.

Where listings come from

Our directory covers more than 220 tattoo removal clinics across 97 Canadian cities. Listings are compiled from public sources — primarily Google business listings and reviews, plus clinic websites — and are refreshed periodically. Ratings, review counts, addresses and services can change between updates; if a detail matters to your decision, confirm it with the clinic directly.

How ranking works

When you search the directory or run the cost estimator, clinics are scored on the same criteria for everyone:

• Distance — how close the clinic is to the city or area you searched.
• Laser platform — whether the clinic's lasers and wavelengths suit tattoos like yours (for example, dedicated wavelengths for green or light-blue ink).
• Specialty match — dedicated removal studios, permanent-makeup removal, fading for cover-ups, experience with darker skin, medical oversight, flat-fee or package pricing, and payment plans, matched against what you told us you need.
• Reviews — the clinic's Google rating and the number of reviews behind it, where a verified rating is available.

We score clinics on distance, laser platform, specialty and reviews — not on who pays us. Every clinic is ranked on the same criteria.

What clinics cannot do

• Clinics cannot pay for placement, a higher ranking, or a better position in estimator results.
• Clinics cannot pay to remove or hide reviews. Where we display review excerpts or complaints, they are drawn from public Google reviews, shown as written.
• There is no advertising in the directory or the estimator.

About our estimates

The estimator models typical Canadian clinic pricing — size, colour, density and the other factors clinics themselves price by — to produce a ballpark session count and cost range. It is a planning tool, not a quote: only a clinic that has seen your tattoo can give you a firm price.

Corrections and limits

We are a directory, not a clinic, and we do not provide medical advice. Directory data comes from public sources and occasional errors happen — a clinic may have moved, closed or changed its services since the last refresh. Every clinic listed is an independent business; being listed is not an endorsement, and your treatment decision should rest on your own consultation and research.
